Position Description:
Seeking an "out of the box" Banquet Chef who is eager to escape the "standard luxury" state of mind and enhance our resort's culinary concept to modern, contemporary and edgy. We need competitive and creative talent, and one who is a people leader. We are a newly renovated luxury resort that caters to both business and leisure guests.
The Banquet Chef will be responsible for menu planning, provisioning, food preparation, and galley sanitation. The position demands creativity on a daily basis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.
Applicant should also work well under pressure, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, willing to work long hours, and have a great sense of humor. Supervisory experience would be beneficial as well.
Requirements include a minimum of 4 years full-service, high quality restaurant experience. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is also required and Food Handlers Certification.
Other pluses include, a positive mental attitude, well groomed, and an outgoing personality.
